Since 1959, Federated Rural Electric Insurance Exchange has provided a steady presence in the market, offering insurance for rural electric and telephone cooperatives. Cooperatives insured by Federated are member-owners who elect our Board of Directors and share in our margins.

Director Elections

Federated’s Board of Director elections will be held in Region III, IV and VI in September and October, 2010.  The Manager/Director candidate to replace Dale Geiselman in Region IV is Donnis Mizelle from Hendricks Power Cooperative in Indiana.  In Region VI, two individuals have filed to run for the seat being vacated due to Steve Reed retiring from the Board; Brian Krambeer from Tri-County Electric Cooperative in Rushford, Minnesota and Bradley Schardin from Southeastern Electric Cooperative in Marion, South Dakota.  All other candidates are running unopposed.  The election of directors will be held on the first day of the 2010 NRECA Regional Meetings immediately following the second General Session.  Please forward all inquiries to Susan Olander, Vice President and General Counsel, smo@federatedrural.com
